The Rome Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1962. We cover a 36-square mile rural fire district serving from 2 stations. Our main station is located in Rome Township and houses our business offices and majority of apparatus/equipment. Station #2 in Miller is equipped with a quick attack pumper/tanker, a brush truck, and our physical fitness center.
We are a volunteer-only department that operates off of a yearly mailer donation, property tax levy, and a township contract that all in conjunction supports our general fund.
